Corrective Care

Corrective care is a scientific, and proven chiropractic technique which corrects and restores your spine back to its normal alignment. We set objective parameters to monitor the correction of the spine until completion.

After examining you in our office, our first phase of care is focused on addressing your pain and restoring motion. When we successfully have you moving better with less pain, we then move on to the second phase of care, which is the corrective care stage. The main focus and goals of this corrective stage is to rebuild and restore the normal curves of the cervical spine which will address the underlying issue of pain. Our goal at MaxHealth is to correct the underlying structural weakness that is causing your pain.

Corrective care, also known as Chiropractic Biophysics, combines biology, physiology, physics, geometry, and anatomy to identify the causes of your pain, discomfort, and loss of mobility. After reviewing your exam findings and analysis of your structural deviations seen on x-ray, we will create a carefully-planned series of adjustments, exercises, and a spinal remodeling programs to put you on a pain-free road to better health. That means your diagnosis – and treatment – will be based on sound scientific and chiropractic principles.

At the very top of this page you can see x-rays of a 33 year old male patient complaining of neck pain with pain and weakness to the arms. You can see in the before x-ray image, on the left, what he looked like structurally when he began care at our office. The patient has a structural deviation from a normal spine of 57mm forward head posture. This is far from an optimal cervical curve and put a great deal of pressure on the spine and nerve in the neck, causing any number of symptoms. In the after image, to the right, you can see on the x-ray that the forward head posture was reduced 59% to 24 mm, this relieves a significant amount of the pressure off the spine and leads to far better quality of life for the patient.

The x-rays seen here are a few of many actual patients who have successfully completed the corrective care phase of their care.
